I cant wait for the iphone - I heard yesterday that it is being launched here soon. I currently alternate between a Sony Ericsson W180 and a Nokia N70 (such a guy's phone - I hate it!!!)

I joined Weight Watchers today!
by Princess Daisy Boo ini am a bit of a yo yo dieter - i have been dieting ever since i was a teenager, and my role model for this was my mom of course.
in fact one of my very early memories of going shopping with mom and her buying a diet shake mix.
well... i have a little girl who is almost three and i have been thinking about things and i really need to break this cycle of crash diets, losing 5 kgs and picking up 10 once i have lost motivation.

I didn't post lost week as I had nothing exciting to report (I actually picked up 0.2 kgs) but I am pleased tp report that it shocked me in to action, resulting in a loss of 1.6kgs this week! This brings my total loss to a grand 7.6 kgs... I want to see if I can hit the 10kg mark by the time my mum in law gets back from NY in two weeks!

How Do Your Worldly "Relatives" Handle JWs at Family Reunions?
by jamiebowers inrecently i read a post that said exjws in a particular family could not attend family functions/reunions even with "worldly" relatives because of the jws in the family.
i can't remember what thread it was on, but i didn't reply, because it was off topic of the thread, and i didn't want to be a highjacker.
last year i organized a family reunion on my jw mother's side.

My JW family attend all reunions with the non JW part of the family... no issue there. Mostly I would say that the non dubs just roll their eyes in irritation when one of the dubs starts getting a bit preachy... that one dub is usually my mom, who is a pain in the ass and finds any opportunity she can to give an incidental witness or whatever it is called nowadays!

much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

Dear Diary
The theme for this week seems to have been Medical Madness.
Yesterday the doc suggested I have sinus surgery... no big deal really... only problem is how to approach the the matter with the boss - she has been so reasonable since I have been back here, but this might throw a spanner in the works. So I am kind of nervous about whether or not I will now have to deal with the wrath of Ros.
Also, yesterday, Mom told me that she has been to the doctor - they suspect Diverticulosis, but are sending her for further test to rule out Cancer and other sorts of unpleasant thoughts.
Mandy was in hospital this week, Phil went for tests for Diabetes, Mons looks like she might have gall stones... what next?
It is Ewan's birthday tomorrow... WOW - I can't believe that my little boy is going to be 5! I am having one of those 5 years ago this time moments. I can remember the events leading up to his birth in technicolour detail. Happy Bithday my Ewiedude!
Alas, it is now time for work!
I could go on for hours recapping the mundane events of my day to day existence and the mere act of having typed this out makes me think that I should go out this afternoon, buy myself a blank journal and start writing!
